
Hubs Carousel
Project: Hubs Carousels on Paramount+
Goal: To create a carousel feature that would allow users to easily discover new content on Paramount+
Methodology:
Conducted a kickoff meeting with the research team to gain insights into user behaviors and preferences on TV platforms.
Created user personas based on the research findings to inform design decisions.
Collaborated with the UX team to develop a site map and user flow for the home page.
Created low-fidelity wireframes to test the layout and content placement of the home page.
Conducted user testing on the wireframes to gain feedback and refine the design.
Developed high-fidelity prototypes that included visual design and interactive elements.
Tested the prototypes on Apple TV and other devices to ensure compatibility and usability.
Incorporated Paramount Plus' design system into the high-fidelity designs for consistency and branding.
Conducted Quality Assurance checks to ensure the designs were pixel-perfect and met accessibility standards.
Collaborate with the development team to hand off the designs and work together to ensure the interaction design was seamless and technically feasible.
Conducted user testing on the final product to ensure the design met user needs and preferences.
Results:
The carousel feature was well-received by users in user testing.
Users were able to easily discover new content that they were interested in.
The carousel feature increased user engagement with the Paramount+ platform.
Conclusion:
The carousel feature was a successful project that met its goals. The feature was well-received by users and increased user engagement with the Paramount+ platform. The project was a collaborative effort between the UX team, research team, and development team. The team worked together to ensure that the design met user needs and preferences.
Recommendations:
Continue to monitor user feedback to ensure that the carousel feature is meeting user needs.
Explore ways to improve the carousel feature, such as adding more content categories or making it easier to customize the content that is displayed.
Continue to collaborate with the research team to gain insights into user behaviors and preferences.





Badging content will up the user experience.
Another designer and I worked on creating badges to add to the content on the home page, which is part of the app I owned.
Together we worked on iconography we could use for different use cases such as Trending.
I then designed where it would be placed on the carousel content on both web and OTT and what the badge itself would say.
This could be New Episodes, New movies, or New Series, New documentaries, Trending, or Top 10.
